Easy to be different, no art at all... Being different does not automatically mean it is amazing. The look is greatly overestimated on this car because everyone goes on feeling, no one stops and really looks carefully.
@@Djeseret I can tell you my old 2002 307 looks way better now than anything that was mass produced like that car. My mate has an old Golf and it looks like a piece of crap, even though it is newer thanthat 2002 307.
It's a styling knockout. I love it's proportions and stance. It's small but substantial. It's damn near perfect styling for a small hatchback. Recent small Peugeots were downright ugly and generic.
The front is the best part of this car whilst the rear looks slightly strange with its curves and the black bar with the lights on my grandad used to own the 3008 the new one and the back still had the black bar but it worked better with that car imo
Peugeot is just crazy starting from new 3008. The most pleasing manufacturer for sure. Hope they would not start to be overpriced now when they are so good.
I would say from 308 back in 2014, lovely little car and same with all models onward. Strong future ahead for them if they invest in some marketing, they need to improve on this regard in Australia the most.
@@cameron4907 Sounds like the same as Australia. They sell hardly any vehicles here, they are quite a rare sight on the road but a few businesses buy them for their fleet, usually base model 308's. But any modern Peugeot from 2014 onward is pretty rare to see, and it's a damn shame because they are far superior to Japanese cars and really don't cost much more to maintain. All the Peugeot dealerships seem like afterthoughts, run down and small and very few staff have a strong understanding of the brand. I agree, I have had two Peugeots and they have been as solid as any Volkswagen, reliable, fuel efficient to what they claim to be, and beautifully finished.
It appears that most of these press demo cars have 17" rims with 45 profile tyres for best appearance but the 16" rims with 55 profile tyres give a softer ride and are more comfortable for imperfect roads. I've ordered an e208 Allure equipped with 16" alloys which I think will be a good compromise. I could always add 17" wheels later if I need that more racy look and more precise handling on smooth roads.
Simply woow efect when you see this little beauty. I have 308 gti facelift model but I love look of this one too! All new Peugeot's looks incredible well. Peugeot is doing some good job honestly

The e208 also comes with a compatible app so that you can pre warm the car on cold winter mornings to 21 degrees whilst it's still plugged in so that when you drive the car it is also operating at its optimum temperature to keep the range longer. Nice feature usually costing a bomb on larger luxury cars. That's on every electric version too.
I’m from the United States and I’m tooling around Northern England in the 208 and it’s my first time ever having driven a Peugeot. I have to say that I’ve been in love with this car since I first started driving it. It looks sick and those fangs are insanely distinctive. The 3D gauge cluster is amazing and fun. This 208 makes me wish we had Peugeot back in the States. The ONE thing that stands out in this car as a negative is that the foot well for the manual is too narrow. I can’t get my foot around the clutch without clipping it, so I have to slip my foot up under the clutch to come to a rest. That being said, I would buy this car in a heartbeat, if I could.
The Irish Examiner has a totally different take about the e208's ride quality than that opined by the What Car? reviewer. Your assessment of the ride contradicts with what appears on the What Car website review : '... 208 scores well for comfort... more supple ride than even the Audi A1 and Polo can offer... it feels as comfortable as some larger cars'. So which is correct? 🤔
Styling is a MASSIVE improvement. Recent small Peugeots were so unsightly and very "un-Peugeot like" compared to their 1980's and early 1990's counterparts. They were too swoopy, soft and generic looking. This brings back that square shouldered, hunkered down look. It's proportions and stance is damn near perfect. It's too bad Peugeot isn't sold in the USA!
Excellent review but I disagree about the comfort of the ride. I've had two Peugeot 406s ( 2 litre and V6 ) and a 407SW. I bought these above all for the famous French ride comfort. I now have a new 208 petrol 100 and the ride is superb. Really comfortable and on the motorway it is as quiet as a much larger and more expensive machine, with only a little wind flutter from the A pillars.
If you live in a country that the potholes havent been fixed since the WWII shell bombings then don't go for it. If you have average to better quality roads in your country then this car is the best choice. The design is awesome and the space is amazing for its class. I test drove it a few weeks ago and bought one 1 hour later. I don't think its much not to like about it apart the e-208 price, but even that is well worth it just for the cool looks of the car. Also remember that Peugeot is right up there in maintenance quality with Volvo and Skoda according to the largest insurance companies which means you are getting a reliable car too. The only thing i found really disappointing is that they asked me for a 2500 Euro for a 5 year service agreement... I mean what the heck are they going to be servicing for 500 Euro per year on an electric car? BMW offers the same deal for 900 Euro / 5 years. I think Peugeot has some real work to do there.... fast profit can mean that people will not buy the next get just because of the hidden costs.

When i get my license ill 100% get this car. It’s sick
Just ordered the GT, wish the LED’s were the strobing type as seen in Audi , Volkswagen , Volvo and Jaguar.
It looks fresh and bang up to date and a car ready for 2020. The fiesta is much better on the inside, but still looks like a car from 2008
Fiesta better on the inside? Are you blind man??? 😂
I wanted 100% but i dont have money just watching like i have it
It looks fantastic.
Yes, this is the best looking small car on sale.
No physical aircon controls = dealbreaker.
Touchscreens are deathtraps to use when moving.
Peugeot has planned to come back to North America in the coming years
Excellent review but I disagree about the comfort of the ride.
Nice looking car I want one
This car looks more premium than the Golf 8, which is a VW and from a class above. This speaks loud about the quality that Peugeot has reached.
good review.
